Location: Colorado River Park
Observation date: 5/11/08
Today was an interesting day in the park. There was a strong north wind and it was very cool compared to the last several days.
I was expecting all kinds of warbler migrants and only found one. I did find a group of Cedar Waxwing still hanging around, Summer Tanagers, and Great Crested Flycatchers.
The resident Eastern Bluebirds have a brood of hatchlings fledged. I found the resident Belted Kingfishers.
For flowers it seems that Bull Nettle is still abundant as well as Beggars Lice and Mexican Hat.

I'm kinda amateur bird photographer and living in Austin too. I see the birds listed in your blog and it's very surprising to me that we have so many kinds of interesting birds. One thing that I'm curious is where actually is "Colorado river park"? I googled for it and what I have is "Colorado river preserve" on Airport Blvd. I can not long for visiting that place and taking pictures. I'll be waiting for your reply. Thanks a lot :)
